Thuktro’s cultural tour Best of Bhutan presents three most enchanting
valleys in western Bhutan: Paro, Thimphu and Punakha. The journey takes
through kingdom’s forested mountains, modern capital city, tranquil
temples, scenic villages, and bucolic farms where guests will get a true
glimpse of vibrant Bhutanese tradition thriving alongside modernity.
You will visit and learn from the landmark fortress and heritage museum in
Paro, immerse in the cultural exchange and art centers in Thimphu, take on
adventure and pilgrimage hiking in the ancient capital of Punakha.
The special journey shares insights into the distinct and diverse cultural
ethos and narratives of the three destinations in western Bhutan that form
the tapestry of the kingdom’s rich and unique identity. The journey
completes with hike to Taktshang or “Tiger’s Nest” Monastery in Paro

• Day 1: Arrive in Paro valley and guided familiarization tour.
• Day 2: Transfer to Capital Thimphu. Explore the city and attend a special
  cultural dinner with travel hosts.
• Day 3: Drive to Punakha. Visit the Temple of Fertility and browse through
  the model vegetable market in Khuruthang.
• Day 4: Guided tour of historic Punakha Dzong (castle fortress), pilgrimage
  hike to Khamsum Yullay Stupa and white-water rafting. Transfer to Paro
  with stop at heritage Tamcho Temple.
• Day 5: Pilgrimage Hike to the spectacular “Tiger’s Nest” monastery.
• Day 6: Return flight to gateway city of your next destination.
