You will have to pay the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) of US$100 per day (per adult; minors pay discounted rates) as part of the visa application process. You may find more details on the SDF right here.
Additionally, a one-time $40 non-refundable visa application cost must be paid. Since you’re traveling with us, we  can apply on your behalf. Alternatively, you can apply online by filling out an application form. 

2. Permit Arrangement:

– Beyond the visa, Bhutan has specific permit requirements, especially for certain restricted or protected areas. These permits are organized based on the regions you intend to visit during your trip.

3. Documentation:

– Thuktro Tours will ensure that you have all the required documentation, including your visa and permits, before your departure. We will provide you with a comprehensive list of the necessary documents and guide you through the application process.

To apply for a visa online you will need:

• A digital copy of a valid passport
• A recent digital passport photo
• Arrival and departure dates 
• Valid travel insurance for the duration of your travel 
• Payment details

4. Processing and Approval:

– Thuktro Tours will liaise with the Bhutanese authorities to process your visa and permits. The approval process typically takes  5 working days and we will keep you updated on the progress.

5.To apply for a visa, you need to take a few easy steps:

• Make a profile
• Include your travel details.
• Pay the SDF fee and apply for a visa for the duration of your intended stay.

VISITORS FROM INDIA, BANGLADESH AND THE MALDIVES

Indian visitors need a permit. Since you’re travelling with us, we can apply on your behalf.
Alternatively, you can apply for this before coming here. There are no upfront costs. 

You can also apply at the point of entrance, however please be advised that the amount of applications at that time may result in a lengthy wait. You will require a passport-size photo if you are asking for a permit at the time of travel. Additionally, you will need insurance for the duration of your visit, which you may obtain in advance or on arrival. When submitting an online or in-person application for a permit, your SDF must be paid.
